I got to chop it up with an artist that I jammed all the time when I was a teenager! An artist that you should already know. If you don’t, it’s ok. You will soon enough!!

Pancho V – CEO of Salty Water Records. And formerly of the duo, ‘Lifestyl’, who had Radio Hits with ‘Million Dollar Stars’, ‘Nasty Girl’, and ‘One In A Million’, IS BACK!! He was out of the game for NINE YEARS, but you’d never know that he missed a day! An expanding team, multiple videos, and his 1st Official Mixtape ‘Redemption-Da Shark Tank’! A Mixtape that features some familiar faces like Gemini, Lucky Luciano, Juan Gotti, Low G, Dat Boi T, Papa Bear, T-Rexs, and more!! Pancho V may have been missed, but he’s making it up to his fans, and than some!! Proving that Defeat is NOT an option, and Salty Water Records IS STILL HERE!!

Conflict:
First off, I have to say that I’ve been a fan since I won a copy of ‘Deep In The Game’, in a freestyle battle, when I was 14.. I’ll follow that with a belated, ‘Welcome Back’!

Now before we go any further, for the few that don’t know, how did Lifestyl and/or Salty Water Records get started?

Pancho V:
Wow that’s history right there! Glad you won…. You must have killed it! I founded Salty Water Records in 1996 in Glaveston, Tx. The name comes from us, for being an island
surrounded by water. It was a natural fit.. Plus the merkeyness, and us being some pirates from a deep street life. We were all just some dope dealers that decided to start rapping. I had all the big money and we just jumped in!

Conflict:
I would not have guessed that as the story.. Now, I have to ask, because rumors and b/s love to fly in the media and especially the internet. In the best way you can explain it, in this type of interview. What happened with Tommy G and yourself? And have the 2 of you talked at all?

Pancho V:
He is no longer with the label Salty Water Records. And we will never work together again, under any circumstances.

Conflict:
That’s enough of an answer for me, homie.. Now, onto the next “fun” mini subject. Powda.. I hear she is about to start doing music again. Any comments and/or advice for her?

Pancho V:
We had 1 meeting recently and we put all the past in the past. She has my blessing on
her return after 4 years. She will do very good .

Conflict:
Did the conversation go well? By that I mean, when you met up, was there still animosity at first glance? Or were you both ready to put the past behind you?

Pancho V:
Yeah, it was cool. I told her she was a baby back then. And me being a CEO and (being) older, (I) should’ve never mixed business with pleasure. We have amazing chemistry, put out good music, and that is the bottom line. So over all it went good.

Conflict:
So, you’ve been busy since you’ve been back… What future projects, artists, business ventures, or anything, can we expect to see from Pancho V and Salty Water in the future?

Pancho V:
My roster consists of some original artists, mixed in with some new sharks. Chocstilli, Tru Enough, Interstate H, Papa Bear, T-Rexs, Weso-G, Sophia Skyy, Freddy Loc,Diamanté, and Kilo. My artist’s ages range from 14 yrs old to the 30’s.
Merchandise, shows, features, and fucking with these hoes, is how I’m getting this money! Haha! Naw, just grinding and being consistent with the grind is important.
Now a days fans are spoiled and want lots of music.. And (for) free..

Conflict:
Hell yeah, homie! It’s great to see Hip Hop still reaching thru generations. And that they have another respected, skilled veteran that has their backs.

Pancho V:
Yes I get LOTS of love and respect from the young G’s and the streets. Noone knew how big the movement was back in 1998-2002, but we influenced generations, and a culture of people.

Conflict:
Like I said, I was jammin’ you when I was 14. Even being gone, I see you everywhere. You hit the ground running, and it seems like you don’t plan on stopping. The ‘Pancho V Is Back’ video hit over 23 thousand views. I take it your fans from back in the day kept your music out there for everyone to hear, and respect. How did it feel to come back with this much support and love?

Pancho V:
Yes I was blessed with the, ‘Pancho V Is Back’ video, but 2 months after that I released, ‘Drink On My Mind’. It Topped off at 16,000 for a while, then 2 weeks ago something happened. It went viral, a little bit, and shot to 29,000 in 1 week! I was getting 20 new subscribers a day! So yes I did hit the ground running …Quick fact …
Pancho V did more shows in 2012 then His entire career!! No one expected the amount of love or demand from my fans, the industry, or the streets! I thought I would come home after 9 years in the penitentiary and do a song here and there, but not the demand for my music like this.

Conflict:
Real words, real music, and real individuals make more of an impact than most haters give them credit for.. And when you can come back, hit it twice as hard, and still be loved, jammed, and respected.. You deserve all of it homie..

Pancho V:
Thanks Conflict, that means a lot to me. Salute for being in the game as long as you have, and for reaching out to me.
God bless.

Conflict:
Thank you for your time. As a fan, it was great to chop it up with you. And as a hip hop fan, I’m glad to have you back in the game. We need as many real artists as we can get.

Pancho V:
Awready! Stay up
